Can I visit Retrodern?

Yes, by appointment only. Retrodern is a home-based studio, so Retrodern does not publish a public street address and does not accept walk-ins. Where is Retrodern located?

Retrodern is based in Longwood, Florida. For privacy and safety, the home studio address is not published. Customers receive the appointment details directly after scheduling.

What does Retrodern sell?

Retrodern sells custom refinished real wood bedroom sets, dressers, nightstands, and related furniture. Pieces are one of a kind and are sold as they are finished. Current pieces can be viewed in the Available Now collection. Sold pieces remain visible in the Retrodern Portfolio.

What is Retrodern's signature finish?

Retrodern is known for warm neutral taupe and warm greige Benjamin Moore finishes, stained wood bases or feet, and updated antique brass or champagne gold hardware. The exact look varies by piece.

Can Retrodern refinish furniture I already own?

Yes. Retrodern accepts custom furniture refinishing commissions. Send clear photos of the furniture, its dimensions, and any drawer or damage issues. Retrodern will confirm whether the piece is a good candidate and provide a quote. A 50% non-refundable deposit books a commission.

Can Retrodern refinish an Ashley Furniture Porter set?

Yes. Retrodern offers an Ashley Porter set makeover for a dresser and two nightstands for $1,200. The service uses Retrodern's signature neutral finish, a stained wood base, and new hardware. Additional Porter pieces are quoted from photos. Details are on the Ashley Porter Set Makeover page.

What is Custom Studio Inventory?

Custom Studio Inventory is for customers who want the Retrodern look but do not already own the right furniture. Retrodern sources a quality real wood piece or set, and the customer chooses the Benjamin Moore shade, sheen, and hardware before the piece is refinished.

Does Retrodern deliver?

Yes. Retrodern offers free local delivery within 15 miles of Heathrow and Lake Mary on ready pieces. Delivery beyond that area may be available for a fee. Delivery is curbside, garage, or driveway, ground floor only, unless otherwise agreed.

How do I buy a piece?

Buy through retrodern.com when checkout is available, or contact Retrodern to arrange a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold a piece. The standard pickup or delivery window is 5 days. All sales are final and pieces are sold as-is.
